Ocean House:Wtch Hil, RI- 5/5/12- 16:38

This is a view of the bathroom from the bedroom. An ingenious design with a large shuttered space that can be opened if you want to talk to your bedmate while luxuriating in the soaking tub and watching a movie on the little tv that is just out of sight to the left or closed for privacy. A most luxurious and relaxing Chateaux Relais property, as they remind you every time they answer the phone. Three of us piled into a delux king room on a gray and chilly Saturday and enjoyed spa treatments, the steam room, a delicious dinner, the silky cotton sheets and a long walk on the beach on a sunny Sunday morning. A great- though costly- girls overnight.

Water St. Cafe:Stonington, CT- 5/5/12- 12:35

Meow. This bit of wildness in the restroom is in no way reflective of the rest of this establishment which tends towrads the nautical. Great salads were had by the four of us- 3 duck and one roasted sweet potatoe with scallops. No mystery why this is a long standing favorite amongst the locals.

Restaurant L&E:Chester, CT- 5/4/12- 20:18

So gay and irreverent. Notice the glimpse of red nipples just over the top of this chef's apron. Love the French attitude about both food and sexuality. My first visit since this restaurant ws renovated. Bravo both for decor and for food. Make a reservation soon. It is sure to be hard to get one as the word gets out.

Yale School of Sacred Music:New Haven, CT- 5/4/12- 16:11

There is a certain stained glass quality to the color and pattern of these tiles and the plastic calla lily certainly confirms the sacredness of this building.

New Haven Lawn Club:New Haven, CT- 5/4/12- 14:40

I always love visiting this restroom. The fresh flowers on the sink are such a lovely touch and that old fashioned looking faucet is actually only motion activated, thus a water saver. Wish I could be as enthusiastic about the Carlyle Collection which I came here to view. Managed to find something to buy- a pair of shiny black slacks which were slightly less overpriced than the rest of the stock.

The Commoner:New London, CT- 5/3/12- 18:48

This is not the entrance to the restroom, but an ornamental curiosity on the inside of the door. Doubious decorating, but the renovating interior overall was pleasing as was the dinner. A nice addition to the dining options of this city.

The Black Cow:Newburyport, MA- 5/1/12- 21:07

This is not a reflection, but in fact a restroom set up as a mirror image on right and left. Kind of weird. A well deserved and delicious dinner after move in day for my eldest son and his wife who are now homeowners. Want to come back here in the summer to sit on the deck and appreciate the water view.

Private Home:Manhattan- 4/30/12- 19:11

Guess I got too rushed by the person waiting for the restroom when I took this photo. Too bad because this was a fantastic bathroom in a special apartment in the El Dorado, one of those high security apartment buildings, this one on the upper west side. There was nothing fuzzy about the presentation I heard by Paul Farmer foundr of Partners in Health. An amazing man and an amazing organization that is truly saving and changing lives in many of the poorest countries.

Telepan:Manhattan- 4/29/12- 19:32

First time at this west side trendy neighborhood restaurant. Good food, calm and quiet setting. Think you get the idea from the restroom where the hand towels had the name printed on them and a creamy trough sink. Nice look.

Brooklyn Museum:New York- 4/29/12- 15:01

Is it because we came to see the Keith Haring show that I felt this sign could have been designed by him? Probably. Well worth a trip to this borough to visit this museum. The exhibitions are always interesting as is the shop and there is a young and casual feel to the entire experience.

The General Greene:Brooklyn, NY- 4/29/12- 11:29

Brooklyn used to be the outback to me. My knowledge confined to the Brooklyn Museum and BAM. Now that I visit my son more frequently, I am getting to appreciate why it has become so popular. Though not my favorite breakfast experience, it was good enough and the staff was very accommodating of all the various needs of our group from the fussy 2 year old to her vegan mother and post cleanse great aunt. Don't know why this hand sanitizer was nestled between the two restrooms or why the instructions were in Spanish.

Lyman Allyn Museum:New London- 4/28/12- 21:18

I love this old fashioned restroom with its white tiles and wooden stall doors. And I have never had to wait to use one.

Public Library:New London, CT- 4/28/12- 15:21

This sign makes sense, especially given the condition of the bathroom which did not have a handy shelf or any other safe place to place anything. The library is one of the eleven sites around New London to view one of the Poetry of the Wild installations. Boxes containing a poem and response journal will be in place until the end of August. Check it out.
