No where in the states, or perhaps the world, is there a bathroom like this. This is a small corner of what is actually a room in this old house and every inch of the entire house is packed with oddities from around the world and around many a junk yard. The gardens, which have been self planted with wild walks and impromptu homemade sculptures is just as amazing. And the genius behind all this just turned 85!

This is one of my favorite homes. A perfect simple, funky, bright beach house with a view of the water. Love the fish rug and sea shell collection on this antigue bamboo stand. I would move in if I could.Visiting a classmate from Madeira '70. There was a cocktail party with the head mistress and several friends assembled at my house for a couple of days around the party. Lots of fun to be with women one has know for...ever!

I have never seen stamped leather wall covering. I thought it was very cool, especially as orange is one of my favorite colors.  Not sure I would have used it in a beach house that was otherwise quite chintzy, pale bluey and conservatively decorated. Can't beat the sunset over the harbor in this quaint beachside town.
